Kenneth Lee Melton, 63, went to his heavenly home on February 7, 2026. Ken was born on May 6, 1962, in Peoria, Illinois, and grew up in the Hurst, Euless, and Bedford, Texas area. He graduated from Trinity High School in 1980 and went on to work as a warehouse manager for various freight forwarding companies until his health declined. In his later years, Ken cherished the time he was able to spend with his family. He was truly the life of the party — often the loudest in the room — with an infectious smile and a personality that drew people in. To know Ken was to love him. He brought laughter, energy, and warmth wherever he went. Ken was incredibly proud of his 11 years of sobriety and devoted himself to encouraging and helping others on their own journeys. One month before his passing, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, a decision that brought him great peace. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mel and Nadene Melton, and his brothers, Mike Tucker and Steve Melton. Ken is survived by his wife, Tori Walls; his daughter and son-in-law, Tara and Jered Lax; his son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Tatianna Melton; his sister, Cheri Tucker; his brother, Greg Tucker; his beloved grandchildren, Christian, Asher, Jacob, Haley, Rosalynn, Hayden, and Dylon; and many extended family members and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday February 28, 2026 at Lone Star Cowboy Church in Red Oak, TX.
