Katherine Elaine (Trimble) Martinez

Katherine Elaine (Trimble) Martinez, age 65, of Ferris, Texas passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021. She was born August 10, 1955 in Waco, Texas to the late Garland Elwin "Pete" and Elizabeth Patricia (Reed) Trimble. Growing up, she was a very smart individual with a high IQ, attending Eastland College where she obtained a degree in English, later continuing her education at El Centro College, receiving her degree in Nursing. Katherine was a kind and caring person, a good listener and always helping others find a way through problems and situations if she could. She loved listening to music, from classic rock to Christian praise. She truly had a zest for life; smart, funny and fiery. She is also remembered for her sewing and knitting hobbies and many craft projects.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Jay Trimble.

She is survived by her son Pete and wife Shannon Blackburn of Ferris; grandchildren: Kayla Blackburn, Daphne Blackburn, Zachary Blackburn, Gwen Blackburn and Preston Blackburn all of Ferris and sister Vicky Beauchamp of Bandera; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.
