Jonathon Lee Firenza, age 47 of Ennis, Texas passed away on February 28, 2026. He was born May 9, 1978 in Dallas, Texas to Raymond Lee and Sheryle (Hendricks) Firenza. Jonathon graduated from North Garland High School with the Class of 1997. During his younger years, Jonathon enjoyed playing ice hockey and spent many years involved in the Boy Scouts. Known for being reserved and soft-spoken, Jonathon was not one to say much at first, often needing encouragement to draw him into conversation; but on occasion he chose to share a story worth hearing. Throughout his life Jonathon worked various jobs, ranging from retail management in his early years to later work as a truck driver. He also attended ATI Trade School, where he studied printing and developed technical skills in the trade. Jonathon found enjoyment in online video gaming, watching NASCAR racing, and cheering for the Dallas Stars. He enjoyed listening to WBAP radio and had a deep appreciation for the music of the 1980s. Jonathon will be remembered for his quiet nature, gentle presence, and the understated way he connected with those who knew him best. Though he lived privately, he leaves behind memories that will be cherished by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Sheryle Firenza.
He has survived by his sister Jennifer and husband Jim Ernst of Palmer, TX; and his two nephews: Jimmy and JJ.
The family plans a memorial for a later date.
