Jimmy Charles White

Jimmy Charles White, age 79 of Ennis, TX, passed away Thursday, November 21,2024 at home. He was born October 23, 1945 to the late Howard and Leta White.

Jimmy was born and raised in Ferris, TX, where he lived until 2009 when he moved to Ennis. He worked for many years hanging sheet rock until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing in his younger days, having cookouts with family, and tinkering with old cars and trucks. Jimmy loved to watch old westerns that he had already seen a million times; he only allowed his youngest granddaughter, Madison, the privilege of using the remote. He loved spending time with those whom he cherished.

Jimmy Charles White was the most resilient, stubborn, and strong willed man. His determination to fight for his life until the very end amazed his family and everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Leta White; his sisters: Leta Fay Parrott of Ferris, TX, and Betty Fields of Ferris, TX; and his brothers: Kenneth White of Payne Springs, TX, and Billy White of Payne Springs, TX.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, and the love of his life, Daisy; his sons: Jimmy C. White II of Ennis, TX, and Clinton and wife Natasha White of Ennis, TX; his daughters: Tammy Burns of Ferris, TX, and Lisa White of Ennis, TX; his sister, Patty Land of Palmer, TX; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews

Visitation will be held at Green Funeral Home - Ferris on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.

Funeral Service will be held at Green Funeral Home- Ferris on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 1:00 PM. Interment to follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Combine, TX at 2:30 PM.
