Javon “Hoppy” Green, age 63 of Ennis, Texas passed away on September 16, 2025. Born on June 7, 1962 in Dallas, Texas. Javon lived a full and vibrant life that touched the hearts of many. She spent most of her childhood in Ferris, Texas where she attended grade school. From a young age, her bright personality made her unforgettable. She was a social butterfly, always surrounded by friends and quickly earned the nickname "Hoppy the Hippie", a name that stuck with her for life and reflected her free spirit and colorful soul. As a young girl Javon expressed herself through ballet, tap dancing, cheerleading, and piano. Her energy was contagious and her zest for life grew stronger with time. Javon was a homemaker, pouring her love into her home and the people, (and animals), in it. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially days spent at the lake fishing or simply enjoying nature. When at home, she could often be found crocheting, coloring, or getting lost in the music she loved so much; a playlist that ranged from: Yelawolf, Eminem, Kid Rock, Def Leppard, Metallica, AC/DC, and Nickelback. Her love for animals was undeniable. Javon raised rabbits, horses, cows, chickens, ducks, and pigs, each cared for with the same heart she gave to everyone around her. Her beloved dogs: Rebel, Mojo, Little Girl and Sugar Babe were her constant companions and were true members of her family. Those who knew Javon will remember her as high-spirited, stubborn in all the best ways, dependable, caring, fun-loving and always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. She was the one you could always count on and the one who would never let a room stay quiet for too long. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents Curtis and Ann (Cain) Davidson brother Robert Curtis and her son Spud Green.
She is survived by her son Michael Finch and wife Magon Mears; daughter Lora Lang; grandchildren: Justin, Nick, Katlynn, Chad, Camden and Raylynn; great-grandchildren: Kaden, Ivy, Violet and Silas; brother J. W.; sister Jill; and other extended family members and friends.
A Memorial Service is planned for a later date.
