Jason Corey Payne, age 53 of Red Oak, Texas passed away on December 18, 2024. Born on October 17, 1971 in Dallas, Texas he was the son of Arvin Payne and Patricia Pritchett. Jason had a passion for carving wood, journaling, writing poetry, and finding peace in nature walks and hikes. Known for his humor and warmth, he could light up any room. He was fearless, kindhearted, and generous, making friends wherever he went and holding none as enemies. A free spirit at heart, Jason embraced life with a hippie’s soul, finding joy in dancing to any beat with a deep appreciation for all genres of music, especially the ethereal sounds of Pink Floyd. Jason loved to cook, and his chicken-fried steaks were legendary among family. His adventurous spirit, love of laughter, and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
