James A. Wickliffe

James Allen Wickliffe, age 61 of Lancaster, Texas, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020. He was born in August of 1959 to the late Roy Allen and Helen Marie (Greer) Wickliffe in Ennis, Texas. He met the love of his life Janet Ann Watts and they were married September 12, 1981 in Lancaster, Texas, together they raised their two boys Thomas James and Aaron Allen. James worked as a Journeyman Electrician for 25 years until his retirement. He enjoyed playing baseball with the Wilmer Cubs, playing numerous games and various tournaments over six years. His family remembers his love of riding the open roads on his Harley Davidson motorcycle and days at the lake on the boat and jet skis. He enjoyed cooking and barbequing and loved bass fishing and hunting in Hutchins with his boys. He also enjoyed buying, restoring and selling classic cars. He will be missed by all who knew him. 

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Margie Fae Finley.

He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife Janet Wickliffe of Lancaster; sons: Thomas James Wickliffe of Lancaster and Aaron Allen Wickliffe of Lancaster; granddaughter Kai Johnson of Virginia; brother Tommy Lynn Wickliffe of Wilmer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Green Funeral Home. Mask is Required.

Service will be 11 AM Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Green Funeral Home, Pastor Cleveland officiating. Mask is Required.

Interment will follow at the Trinity Cemetery in Wilmer, Texas.
