Jack Bill Davis 84 a lifelong resident of Bristol Texas. Went on his grand fishing trip early Monday morning 26th of June.
Jack Bill graduated from Ferris high school in the class of 1956. During High School he formed the love of football where he was a star football player, proudly wore number 24. That love continued throughout his life. Many Saturday or Sunday afternoon he could be found playing ball with his nephews in his younger years. Later on, the TV would be tuned in on college or professional games. He could be heard on the sidelines at his grandsons games cheering them on. Baseball was a close second, he played softball for years. Jack Bill was a truck driver for over 50 years. He traveled miles and miles up and down I 45 to Houston along with Oklahoma and Louisiana. Jack Bill was known to have, Great hunting and fishing stories. If the fish were biting, he could be found baiting a hook.
Jack Bill was the youngest child born October 1, 1938 in Bristol to parents Howard Jefferson Davis and Lillian Mittie Threadgill Davis. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Lavinia Jean McKay, Peggy Joan Jackson, June Rose Sutherland, and Howard Morris Davis. Three nephews David McKay, Ricky Jackson, Darrell McKay, one Niece Tammy Jackson Sanders.
Jack Bill is survived by two daughters and their families Billinda and Lee Longino of Ferris, and Mitzie Bledsue of Bristol. Six grandchildren Lee Ill and Nicole Longino of Tampa, FI, Lori Gonzales of Ferris, Waylon and Carolyn Longino of Dallas, Rhealinda and Ricky Brobst of Irving, Heather and Motolani Ojo of San Diego, Ca, and Lacie Bledsue and fiancé Zachary Ballas of Cleburne. 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandsons. Also survived by the mother of his girls Linda Brown Grissom of Ferris.
