Obituary

JC Luis Garcia, age 14 of Ferris, Texas passed away May 17, 2022. He was born in Ennis, Texas on November 28, 2007, to Cristina Duenas and Joseluis Garcia. He grew up in Ferris on the family farm and attended Ferris Junior High school where he was quarterback on the junior varsity team. JC was often extremely funny and sometimes annoying and moody but was a loving son and brother to his younger siblings and loved working with his grandpa, helping out in the shop. He loved playing his video games, always having the best playing systems. He was a huge sports fan, having recently watched the Texas Ranger’s play at the new stadium, where he was excited to see Demarcus Lawrence play and dreamed of seeing the Cowboys play. Despite other family objections, he was a huge fan of the Oklahoma University football team. He loved family trips and visiting South Padre Island, playing in the sand on the beach or hanging out at the arcade at the Choctaw casino in Oklahoma. His favorite meals were many times fast food: Taco Bell, Chick-fil-A, Whataburger and Wingstop. This loving and outgoing young man will be missed by all who knew him.

Is survived by his mother Cristina Duenas and husband Antonio Barrera of Ferris; father Joseluis Garcia of Wilmer; siblings: Alexis Garcia, Saul De La Riva, Araceli Duenas, Teresa Barrera and Yuliana Barrera; grandparents: Cecilio and Maria Duenas of Ferris and Rafael Garcia Perez and Leticia Trejo Garcia; aunts and uncles: Valerie Duenas, Pablo Barrera, Rosa Maria Garcia, Maria Guadalupe Garcia, Norberto Garcia, Rafael Garcia, Adriana Garcia and Armando Garcia, Cesar Garcia; as well as a host of other extended family members and close friends.
