Irma Garza

Irma (Cano) Garza, age 79 of Red Oak, Texas passed away September 23, 2023. She was born September 18, 1944 in Edingburg Texas to the late Francisco Cano and Angelita Barrientos; she was born second of eight siblings. Irma worked in the fields to help out her mom and dad. She met the love of her life Natividad Garza working in the fields, they fell in love and later married on February 20, 1964 in McAllen, Texas. To this union was blessed seven beautiful children. Her homemade tortillas will be missed, as well as her menudo, rice and beans, potatoes and pork chops. Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday; she loved to host and cook for her entire family. Irma will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She has proceeded in death by her parents Francisco Cano and Angelita Barrientos.

She is survived by her loving husband Natividad Garza, Sr. of Red Oak, Texas; children: Alma Arroyo of Red Oak, Texas, Natividad Garza, Jr, of Red Oak, Texas, Jose Francisco Garza and wife Brandy Wilson of Maize, Kansas, Raul Garza and wife Laurie Rutledge of Duncanville, Texas, Jesus and wife Lori Garza of Red Oak, Texas, Amanda and husband Juan Morales of Mesquite, Texas, Maria Isabel Garza and Oralia Adame of Kyle, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; siblings: Quirino Cano, Oscar Cano, Roberto Cano, Gilberto Cano, Angelita DeLeon, Maria De La Jesus Villarreal, Rigoberto Cano; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and dear friends.
