Cleve "Henry" Cravens, age 70 of Wilmer, Texas, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late Cleve Hillary and Dora Alice (Young) Cravens. Henry grew up in Costa Rica as a son of the Consulate General. As child he played chess with the President of Costa Rica and beat him! Later he became a member of Mensa, the largest high IQ society in the world. As a student his IQ was so high he would learn the entire curriculum within the first month and finish all the assignments! This led to being quite bored in class and he became the class clown. His father established the town of Gramacho, Costa Rica where they owned and operated a coffee plantation and built an airstrip, of which he and his entire family were pilots. He later received his CPA and served as an accountant and later turned his love and passion for his pets into being a pet store owner. His family fondly remembers the stories of pet snakes going missing and a particularly dirty mouthed African gray parrot.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his daughter Crystal and husband Warren Angerstein of Round Rock; grandchildren: Beau Angerstein and Briana Angerstein; three great-grandchildren and brother John Cravens of Costa Rica.
Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Green Funeral Home. Mask will be required.
