Gerald William Mabry

Gerald William Mabry, age 61, of Ferris, Texas passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021. He was born on July 27, 1959 in Elkhart, Indiana. In his youth his family moved many times between Indiana and Mississippi before making his way to the DFW area at the age of 13. He enjoyed art: drawing and wood carving, building and repairing many projects over the years. He also enjoyed building model helicopters and flying them for hours on end. He was trained as an electrician, carpenter and overall handyman. He was often found fishing as he was an avid fisherman. He loved to watch movies at home snuggled with his beloved canine companions Max and Potsy.

He is preceded in death by his parents

He is survived by his son John William Mabry; brother Bryan Mabry; sister Christine Woods; John’s mother Irma Gaona de Mabry; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members and friends.

A memorial is planned for a later date.
