Evelyn Kay (Ernst) Shue, December 4, 1940 - November 20, 2023. Evelyn went to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 82. She was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma and reared in Wilmer-Hutchins, Texas. A resident of Lancaster, Texas for many years, she was a 1959 graduate of Wilmer-Hutchins High School. She was a proud flagbearer in the high school band. After being high school sweethearts, Evelyn married Don Shue on July 9, 1960. Evelyn was a faithful and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend. Evelyn was a 50 year member of First Baptist Church Lancaster. Evelyn’s life was a testament to her profound commitment to Jesus and the embodiment of His love. She lived with a deep and abiding faith, carrying herself with grace and resilience that inspired all who knew her. Her actions spoke louder than words and she embraced challenges with a spirit of determination and faced adversity with the strength that can only come from a profound connection to her God. In her own words, “Jesus is the champion of the needy. He uplifts and tenderly cares for those who seek Him”. Evelyn exemplified this belief through her selfless acts of kindness, compassion, and generosity. Evelyn’s life is a living expression of love.
Evelyn is survived by her grandchildren: Kendall Robinson (Stasha), Dawn Shue, Chris Shue (Ania), Jordan Judd; nine great-grandchildren; son-in-law Sean Judd; brothers: Larry Ernst (Dora), Keith Ernst (Brenda) and David Ernst; sister Linda Brown (LC); sisters-in-law: Martha Ernst, Gracie Shue, Carolyn Shue, Faye Shue; brother-in-law David Shue (Karen); many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death: husband Don Shue; son Tommy Don Shue; daughter Kristi Lynn Shue Judd; parents: Emery and Bonnie Ernst; brother: Donald Ernst.

Visitation to be at Green Funeral Home 105 Vintage Dr, Red Oak, TX 75154 at 1:30 PM Saturday, November 25, with Service following at 3:00 PM (469)-820-9449.
Interment will follow at Trinity Cemetery, Wilmer, Texas.
