Evelyn Dolores (Varanese) Norton, age 88 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away on July 26, 2025. She was born September 24, 1936 in Bellaire, Ohio to Erminio Varanese and Carmella Amorosa. In the 1970s, she served as a teacher and minister at Ozark Bible Assembly in Neosho, Missouri where she found great joy in working with children and helping them grow in both knowledge and spirit. Evelyn’s ability to connect with others, her sense of humor, and her gentle spirit left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Erminio and Carmella Varanese; husband Charles Norton and her sisters.
She is survived by son Roger Turner-Gast and wife Sheila McBurney; numerous grandchildren; and sis Ginny Mathe.
