Ella Acosta Obituary

Ella Rebecca Jane Acosta, age 17, left this world too soon on January 22, 2026. She was born on July 30, 2008 in Arlington, Texas. Ella was deeply loved and will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle nature, and the love she shared so freely with her family. She enjoyed playing softball and always gave her best on the field. Ella also loved photography and especially enjoyed taking action shots at sporting events and campus activities at Life High School. She had a special talent for capturing real moments and memories through her lens. At Life High School, Ella was a dedicated student who earned straight A’s and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Yearbook, where she shared her creativity and love for photography. She had also been accepted to UNT Dallas and planned to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice, reflecting her strong sense of responsibility and her desire to help others. Outside of school, Ella worked as Café Manager at Urban Air, a position she took great pride in and truly enjoyed. Above all, Ella loved her family. She was a cherished daughter, sister, and aunt, and her presence brought comfort, laughter, and love. She loved being Auntie Ella, and her nieces were a joy to her. Her absence leaves a space that can never be filled. We loved Ella her entire life and will remember her for the rest of ours - no longer by our side, but forever in our thoughts and always in our hearts.

Ella is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Josefina Acosta (Lita); and her maternal grandmother Janey Raborn (Gran).

Ella is survived by her parents Kimberly Acosta and Jose Acosta; her brother Ryan Acosta; her sister Kady Gryder and brother-in-law Kody Gryder; her nieces: Everlee Gryder and Kynslee Gryder; her grandfather Vicente Acosta (Lito); her aunts: Anna Zuniga, Soledad M. Pedroza (Tia Chole), and Kiya Raborn; her uncles: Raul Acosta, Juan Zuniga, and Luis Pedroza; her cousins: Cody Acosta, Mara Acosta, Alex Zuniga, Mariah Acosta, Vicente Pedroza, and Soledad A. Pedroza (Sol).
