Elena Cadena, 58, passed away, surrounded by her children, on February 13, 2021 from a six-year battle with cancer.
Elena Cadena was born in Praxedis G Guerrero, Chih, MX to the late Andres and Inez Cadena, she quickly became her fathers shadow, following him everywhere. She grew up helping around the family ranch in Mexico, before getting married and moving to the United States with her then husband.
She leaves behind about a hundred pounds of yarn, a countless number of unfinished craft projects, and so many romance and drama novels that her children have no idea what to do with them.
She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. Her very dysfunctional family that she was very proud of will greatly miss her, her humor, and her lack of patience. Elena was always the life of the party and was available any time anyone needed a helping hand or a ear to listen. She was feisty and was never one to hold back her opinion. Her amusing personality made her truly unforgettable. She was loved and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her sister Lola Cadena, children: Eunice Valdez, Jesus (Ivan) Valdez, and Denise (Luisy) Valdez, grandchildren: Alexyz Villegas, Celeste Villegas, Evany Villegas, Dalyza Valdez, Biyanni Mendoza, and Yxzael Mendoza.
