Edward Earl White, age 62 of Forreston, Texas passed away June 1, 2021. He was born June 9, 1958 in Windsor, North Carolina to Jacob McKenzie and Alma Louise (Thomas) White. The oldest of seven children, he is affectionately known as the rock of the family. Growing up in North Carolina he met the love of his life Debbie Richmond at a church Easter banquet and it was love at first sight. They begin dating and later became engaged and married in September of 1976. They later welcomed the birth of their daughter Karen and in 1983 the family moved to Waxahachie, Texas where he began his studies at Southwestern Assemblies of God University, graduating in 1989. He began pastoring and enjoyed his ministry In North Richland Hills, Texas until retiring in 1992, when he began his work as a maintenance manager for the Waxahachie Independent School District for 12 years then making his way to What-A-Burger as regional facility manager. He was passionate for his work, working two jobs most of his life. He was extremely mechanically inclined and he could fix anything: cars, air conditioners and clocks of all kinds. His family fondly remembers family trips to Branson, Missouri, Colorado and to Mesa Verde in New Mexico where as a child, Karen was fascinated with the sand lizards. He loved music, singing, playing the guitar and drums. He was an accomplished steel guitar player, which he picked up at the age of 50. Proving his ability to do whatever he set his mind to. He loved his family and friends and their children and is considered a dad and papa to many. He served as a Deacon and Elder in his church for many years. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his mother Louise Thomas White.
He is survived by loving and dedicated wife Debbie White, daughter Karen Grindele; granddaughters: Emma Grindele and Katlyn Grindele and fiancé Joshua Liska; great-grandchildren: Logan Liska and Oliver Liska; father Jacob White; siblings: Tony and wife Barbara White, Jewel and husband Daryl Walker, Reuben and wife Mary White, Beverly and husband Roger Mazzarese, Joseph and wife Ellen White and Darlene Johnson; as well as numerous other nieces nephews and other extended family members and friends.
Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM Friday, June 4, 2021 at New Life Worship Center Church of God, 1320 Brown St. Waxahachie, TX 75165, Dr. James Smith Officiating.
