Edna Marie (Brown) Wilson Maloof

Edna Marie Brown Wilson Maloof was born on December 25, 1952, in Natchitoches, Louisiana. She was born to the parentage of Percy Brown and Ethel Mae Turner Brown. 

At a young age Edna confessed a hope in Christ and was baptized in Natchitoches, Louisiana. At the time of her death she was a member of Rockett Baptist Church. Edna completed all of her schooling in Louisiana including earning her Bachelor’s degree from Grambling State University. Edna was married to Robert Wilson Sr until the time of his death in 2008. In 2009 Edna married John Maloof who she remained with until the time of her death. 

Edna welcomed her first child in 1972, LaGordian Brown followed by Roderick Wilson in 1978 and Robert Wilson Jr in 1983. She became a proud Granny in 2001. Her grandchildren were LaGordian Brown II, David Ashley, Gabriella, Malachi, & Sean Wilson. 

On Wednesday September 11, 2024, Edna’s life came to a sudden end leaving her loved ones with broken hearts. But we know that all things work together for good to them that love God. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Percy & Ethel Mae Brown, her husband Robert Wilson Sr, her son LaGordian Brown, and her siblings Charles Brown, Donald Brown, Percy Brown Jr, Johnnel Brown, & Lena Mae Jackson. 

Left in the caring hands of the Almighty God are: Her loving husband John Maloof; her sons Roderick Wilson (Amanda Wilson) and Robert Wilson Jr.; grandchildren LaGordian, David, Gabriella, Malachi & Sean; siblings Mary Braxton, Brenda Pack, Ralph Brown, Alvin Brown, and Benny Brown, and a host of other relatives and friends.
