Douglas M. Meyer

Douglas Manning Meyer, age 67 of Ferris, Texas passed away February 10, 2022. He was born in Dallas, Texas to the late Marshall Donald, Sr. and Lois Pauline (Wilder) Meyer. He grew up in South Dallas in the Oak Cliff area and begin work at an early age finding his talent in mechanical work and factories in the Dallas area until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting trips to East Texas, fishing and skydiving, street racing and a cold Coors Light. He was always very adventurous, lighthearted and joked around often, but also spoke straight to the point. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Scott Meyer and Johnnie Meyer.

He is survived by daughter Jaime and husband Toby Northcutt of Palmer; grandchildren: Kolby and wife Amanda Jordan of Aledo, Trey Northcutt of Ferris, Kassidy Jordan and Will Davis of Stephenville, Kelcie Northcutt and Jonathan Tucker of Forney, Kaitlynn Jordan and Cole Christian of Waxahachie and Emma Northcutt of Palmer; great-grandchildren: Addison Jordan and River Christian; brother Marshall D. Meyer, Jr. of Alvin; sister Charlotte Stevens of Claremont, New Hampshire as well as other extended family members and friends.

A Memorial Service is planned for a later date.
