Donald Anthony “Tony” Hansen, 58, of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away on April 1, 2025. He was born on July 10, 1966, in Marietta, Ohio. Tony lived a full and vibrant life, marked by a deep love for his family, friends, and passions.
Before moving to Texas, Tony attended and graduated from Saint Mary's High School in West Virginia in 1984. After this, he attended diesel technician school in Cleveland, OH, graduating in 1986.
Tony’s professional life was dedicated to his work at Dart Transportation in Dallas, where he worked tirelessly from 1986 until his passing. He was a valued and respected colleague, and his contributions will be remembered by all who had the privilege to work with him.
Outside of work, Tony was known for his love of dirt bike racing, particularly his passion for KTM dirt bikes. He spent many years competing and riding, finding joy and exhilaration in the sport. His commitment to the dirt biking community was undeniable, and he will be remembered as a fierce competitor and a beloved rider.
Tony’s life was defined by his adventurous spirit, unwavering loyalty to those he loved, and his zest for life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Lauer.
Tony is survived by his dear friend Ada Jack, his daughters Gerilyn and Katelyn Jack, his brother Dennis Hansen and wife Rhonda, his nephew Lucas Hansen, and his lifelong best friend of 40 years, Tim Simmons.
