David Leon Williams

David Leon Williams, age 70, of Red Oak, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025. He was born on May 8, 1954, in Brownsville, Texas, to Myron Emmanuel Williams and Rita Roberds.

David was a man of unmatched skill and strong character, known far and wide for his ability to fix anything, especially when it came to cars. His passion for motorcycles, particularly his beloved Harley Davidson, was a central part of his life. Whether it was a ride through the countryside or time spent hunting and fishing, David found joy in the outdoors, relishing each moment.

Above all, David was a devoted family man. He and his wife Charica opened their hearts and home to raise their nephews, providing them with the same love and protection that he offered his own children. David’s strength and unwavering support made him a pillar for his family, always ready to protect, guide, and offer comfort when needed. He had a profound love for his dogs, who  were always by his side and served as a constant reminder of his compassionate nature.

David leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, love, and resilience that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Myron and Rita Williams, and his sister, Diane.

David is survived by his wife, Charica; his children: Julie Cottrell, Matthew Williams, Sterling, Skylar, and Spencer; his grandchildren: Emma and Grace Cottrell; his great-granddaughter, Hazel; and his sisters: Mary Ann, Rita, Elaine, Teresa, and April.

Graveside Service will be held at Bell’s Chapel Cemetery on Friday, January 31st, 2025 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in David’s honor.
