Darcee Vernon Obituary

Darcee Ann Rickett Vernon, age 59, of Red Oak, Texas, left this earth on May 8,
2026. She was born on October 17, 1966, in Hutchinson, Kansas to Bobby Dale
Rickett and Bonnie Joy Bemis. She graduated from Lancaster Elsie Robertson
High School in 1985. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science from Texas
Woman’s University in 1993, graduating with honors. Darcee practiced in the field
of dentistry for 22 years as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She had a passion for
science and excelled in her career. Darcee was well respected among her peers.


Darcee was a very loving and caring mother. Her son, Aaron, was the light of her
life. They shared many common interests including the love of music, artistic
talent, and compassion for animals. Her devotion to Aaron was simply
unmatched. Darcee cared deeply about animals. She willingly shared her home
with pets of all kinds. She was especially close to her beloved fur baby,
Frankenstein.


Darcee had an outgoing, carefree spirit and the gift of gab. She was the life of the
party and made friends easily wherever she went. She expressed herself with
laughter. Her laugh was one of a kind and a true testament to her joyful, bubbly
personality. She was adventurous. Unafraid to take on challenges and experience
life to the fullest. Darcee touched many lives and will be dearly missed.


She is preceded in death by her son, Aaron Vernon, parents; step father, Gerald
Walline; step mother Karen Rickett; and step brother Thomas McKeown.
She is survived by her brother David Rickett and wife Tammy of Haltom City,
Texas; sister Shellee Hansen and husband Rocky of Red Oak, Texas; nieces
Heather Glover of Ennis, Texas and Amy Hall of Red Oak, Texas; nephew Farren
Hansen of Red Oak, Texas; great nephews and niece Brayden, Blake, Jacob and
Peyton; extended family and many friends.


A Celebration of Life to honor Darcee will be announced at a later date. Please
