Cody Lynn (Morris) Quinonez, a beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on June 7, 2025 at the young age of 27. Born on December 23, 1997 in Dallas, Texas, she was the cherished daughter of Charlie Morris and Yvonne Arizmendi. Cody was vibrant, full of life, and known for her radiant smile that could light up any room. From a young age, she was passionate about sports - cheerleading, basketball, volleyball, and softball were some of her favorites. She was a standout cheerleader, earning multiple national championships. She graduated from Avalon High School in 2016 and went on to attend the University of Texas at Arlington, where she discovered her love for bartending. With her outgoing spirit and "never met a stranger" personality, it was a perfect fit for her. Cody's greatest joy in life was her children, Taylor Valdez and Julian Quinonez. She was a devoted and loving mother who gave everything she had to ensure their happiness and well-being. She met the love of her life, Jesus Quinonez, through country dancing - another of her great passions and together they built a beautiful life. Cody's light, love, and laughter will live on through the many lives she touched.
Cody is preceded in death by her father Charlie Morris; her nana Betty Aaron; her poppie David Aaron; and her grandparents Wilma and Donald Morris.
She is survived by her children: Taylor Valdez and Julian Quinonez; her loving husband Jesus Quinonez; her mother Yvonne Shinn and husband Randy Shinn; her stepmother Laurie Morris and Darius Johnson; she also leaves behind her siblings: Laura Morris, Charly Ledbetter, Madalene Pence, Haley Arizmendi, Jharod Johnson, James Guerrero, Jr., Jesse Hernandez, Matthew Morris, and Caleb Castillo; her nieces: Bianca Baladez, Aveline Ledbetter, and Ursula Guerrero; her nephews: Adam Moya, Jr., Charlie Herrera, James Guerrero III, and Elijah Quinonez; her best friend Alisson Quayle; and many beloved brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss her deeply.
A Celebration of Life will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Green Funeral Home -Red Oak, Texas.
