Charles Deray “Chuck” Handfelt, age 61 of Tool, Texas passed away September 9, 2021. He was born July 3, 1960 in Dallas, Texas. “The Man the Myth the Legend”, as he would say! Chuck was a lot of things in life: he was a father, a papa, a brother, an uncle, a cousin and a friend. Chuck was really anything you needed him to be. He enjoyed spending any time he could with his children and grandchildren. He loved being on the lake and he loved four-wheeling at times, even thought it was expensive he would say. Chuck was a person who no matter what he was doing would drop anything for anyone to be wherever they needed him to be. He worked for the sanitation department for the City of Mesquite for 15 years and then with San Kay exhibits with owners and friends Skip and Sandy Johnson. Chuck will always be remembered for his bright smile, his beautiful green eyes and that tell you exactly like it is personality. He left that exact personality in all his kids and grandkids. Just go talk to one of them. Chuck will forever be in our hearts and never be forgotten!
He is preceded by mother Wanda June (Stogdill) Langston and step-father Otis Langston; sister Sherry Langston; grandmother Lucinda Inez Stark; and grandfather Lee Morris Stogdill.
He is survived by his children: Tisha Dixon and husband John Dixon, Terani Tafoya and husband Michael Brooks, Meagan Finklea and husband Max Finklea and Matthew Handfelt; grandchildren: Kaitlynn Vines, Alyssa Vines, Ashton Vines, Ryleigh Clark, Landen Kazmierczak and Colbi Kate Finklea; sister Marcie Handfelt; brother Billy Gene Langston; best friend and brother Leland Herron as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.
