Christopher Allen Bunt

Christopher Allen Bunt, age 49 of Ferris, Texas passed away December 24, 2021. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on August 2, 1972 to Roy A. and Yolanda (Badgett) Bunt, Jr. After moving about the country, the family settled in Ferris, Texas where Chris graduated high school. He attended college, achieving his associate degree in information technology, which he utilized professionally, serving in a wealth of technology positions from support and coding to software development and coordination. His mother taught him to drive fast, stoking his life-long love of fast cars. Chris enjoyed hunting since he was young and developed an extensive knowledge of guns. He taught gun safety through the NRA, along with being a long-time member/past president of the IDPA Gun Club. He deeply enjoyed music, playing the guitar, drums and keyboards while building an extensive music collection. As an audiophile, he could hear even small portions of a song and name the tune or the artist. A tinkerer of many trades, he loved his children and worked to give each positive experiences and life skills where he could. Chris married the love of his life, Jennifer, on July 29, 2000. His humor was quick and his wit even quicker. For this and so much more he was loved, adored, and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father Roy A. Bunt, Jr.

He is survived by his wife Jennifer A. Bunt of Ferris, Texas; children: Breana Bunt of Rowlett, Texas, Bryan Bunt of Carrollton, Texas, Jacqui and husband Ben Wallkes of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Ariel Follbaum of Houston, Texas; loving mother Yolanda Bunt of Ferris, Texas; Aunt Virginia and husband Roy Malcomb of Ferris, Texas as well as numerous cousins and other extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Green Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, December 30, 2021 at First Baptist Church Ferris, Texas. Bro Bob Mashburn officiating.

Pallbearers: Anthony Votto, Kris Moore, Jay Rankin, Lonnie Malcomb, Christopher Sees and Robert Malcomb.

Committal will follow at Ferris Memorial Park North. Ferris, Texas.
