Christa McKnight Obituary

Christa Sue Robbins, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver, passed away on May 5, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion. Born on August 21, 1973, in Dallas, Texas, to Sherry and Gerhard Robbins, Christa's life was marked by unwavering dedication to her family and community.

After attending DeSoto High School, Christa entered the workforce, finding her true calling as a para professional in education, particularly working with special needs children. Her nurturing nature and boundless empathy made her an invaluable support to those she served.

Christa's devotion extended beyond her professional life. As a mother, she tirelessly cared for her daughter during her battle with leukemia, embodying strength and resilience throughout the journey. In 2021, she joyously married her childhood best friend, Chad McKnight, marking the beginning of a new chapter filled with love and companionship.

A proud grandmother, Christa cherished every moment spent with her grandson, finding immense joy in their playful interactions. Her culinary skills brought happiness to many, as she delighted in cooking for others and witnessing the joy her food brought.

Christa's generosity knew no bounds. Whether it was welcoming her daughter's friends into her home or extending a helping hand to those in need, she exemplified selflessness and kindness. Her heart was open to all, and she had a special fondness for owls, symbols of wisdom and guidance.

Christa's love extended to her furry companion, Chloe, whom she affectionately called "fat mama," and to special needs boy Cameron, whom she took under her wing and supported for two years.

Her passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew her, but her spirit will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched. Christa Sue Robbins will be dearly missed and forever remembered for her warmth, compassion, and boundless love.

She is proceeded in death by her father Gerhard Robbins and her dad, Ronnie James.

She is survived by her loving husband, Chad McKnight; daughter Kristina Allen; grandson Loyd Hartgrave; mother, Sherry James; siblings: Alissa wall, Ronni Lynn Smith, Mandie Robbins, Bradley Robbins; grandmother, Sue Cummings; four legged companion, Chloe, as well as a host of other extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
