Charlsie Burchfield Watson was born January 30, 1943 in Honey Grove, Texas to Charlie and Johnnie Burchfield. She graduated from Ferris High School in 1961. Charlsie married her high school sweetheart, Jimmy Watson on June 10, 1961. They had three children; Shelly D’aon, Kelly D’ann, and Jarrett Allen. Charlsie served as Office Manager for E.G. Boyd Trailer Company and Batco Company for many years. She then served as a bookkeeper to several small companies before joining the family company, Eden Landscape & Irrigation in 2012, where she remained working alongside her family until November 2023. Charlsie was blessed with a large family. She adored her grandchildren, and especially her great-grandchildren! She enjoyed all family gatherings and looked forward to each event to have her tribe under one roof. She was a God-fearing woman and held her hope and trust in the Lord. She loved to sing and could often be heard humming her favorite hymns as she worked. She knew no stranger, and her love, kindness, and generosity flooded everywhere she went. Charlsie passed from this life on July 12, 2024 in her home in Farmersville, Texas.
Charlsie is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Jimmy Watson; her parents Charles and Johnnie Burchfield; and her sister Polly Barnes.
She is survived by her sister Marietta Allen of Ferris; brother Michael Burchfield of Waxahachie; daughters: Shelly Schroeter and son-in-law Jim Schroeter of Garland and Kelly Adams and son-in-law Tom Adams of Farmersville; son Jarrett Watson and daughter-in-law Tracy Watson of Rockwall; grandchildren: Lauren Buchanan and husband Joshua Buchanan of Garland; Daniel Schroeter and wife Valerie Schroeter of US Army South Korea, Shane Harrison and wife Ashli Harrison of Caddo Mills, Dallas Adams and wife Maloree Adams of Farmersville; Haylee Adams of Farmersville and Joseph Joplin of Terrell; 11 great-grandchildren: Paige, Zachary, Keagan, Charlsie, Nolan, James, Austin, Roman, Karter, Jade, and Kash; Along with nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers: Jim Schroeter (Son-in-law), Thomas Adams (Son-in-law), Shane Harrison (Grandson), Dallas Adams (Grandson), Joseph Joplin (Grandson), Jarrett Watson (Son).
