Charles Edward “Eddie” Miner Jr., age 60, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and community leader, passed away on April 26, 2024. Born on February 2, 1964, in Dallas, Texas, to Charles Edward Miner, Sr. and Delores Smith, Eddie's life was a testament to love, service, and faith. A graduate of Ferris High School class of 1982, Eddie's journey in service began early. He attended the Fire Academy at Texas A&M, igniting a lifelong passion for firefighting. His love story with wife Dee blossomed in the heart of Ferris, Texas, where he famously declared his affection with a memorable, "pull over baby." Their bond was unbreakable, and together they built a life filled with love and purpose. Throughout his career, Eddie dedicated himself to serving his community. From his humble beginnings at the City of Ferris, to his leadership roles in various fire departments including Bristol and Garrett Rural, Eddie's commitment to protecting others was unwavering. As the owner and operator of Mineco Septic for over two decades, he ensured the well-being of his community extended beyond emergencies. Eddie's passions extended beyond his professional life. An avid racer and fisherman, he found joy in the thrill of competition and the serenity of nature. Yet, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family and doting on his grandchildren. A man of deep faith, Eddie's life was a testament to his belief in spreading the message of John 3:16. Through his 3:16 Outdoor Ministries and leadership at Grace Temple Baptist Church for over 25 years, he touched countless lives with his compassion and wisdom. His church family was his pride and joy, and he cherished each member dearly. Proud of his Cherokee heritage, Eddie embraced his cultural roots with reverence and respect. Yet, above all, he was a devoted mama's boy, with his mother holding a special place in his heart. Bro. Eddie leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and faith that will continue to inspire generations to come. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
