Casey Kleist Obituary

Casey Christian Kleist, of Red Oak, Texas, passed away on November 29, 2025, at the age of 24. Born on April 11, 2001, in Denton, Texas, Casey was the eldest of four brothers and embraced the role of big brother from the very beginning. When he was just 18 months old, his family moved to Red Oak, the community that would become his lifelong home. Casey attended Red Oak schools from kindergarten through his senior year, forming friendships and memories that lasted throughout his life.

Casey had a deep love for the outdoors, especially anything involving the water. Whether he was fishing, swimming, or enjoying water sports, he found peace and joy being outside. He also had a passion for riding minibikes and skateboarding, zipping around with adventure and excitement. Creativity came naturally to Casey. He was exceptionally artistic, with a talent that touched many corners of his life. He loved painting with acrylics, crafting tufted rugs, and diving into the world of 3D printing projects. His creations reflected his imagination, patience, and unique way of seeing the world. Casey was also known for his remarkable handyman skills. If something was broken, Casey could fix it. He was always repairing things around the house and enjoyed working on cars, especially his own Ford truck, which he maintained with pride and care. He had an innate ability to solve problems with practicality and determination.

Among the many things Casey loved were his pets. He had a pit bull named Zeus, who was his loyal companion for eight years, and his orange tabby cat, Cowboy, who also held a special place in his heart. Above all, Casey loved his family deeply. He was caring, protective, and always looking out for the people he loved. He checked in often, making sure everyone was okay, lending a hand, offering support, and giving comfort. His presence made others feel safe, cared for, and understood. Casey’s kindness, creativity, and gentle spirit will be remembered forever by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life, though far too short, was filled with love, generosity, and the unmistakable warmth he brought to everyone around him.

He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

He is preceded in death by his great-grandfather Big Daddy, his great-grandmother Concha Corro, his Grandmother Cheryl Kleist, and his cousins Mechele Roper, Hope Bridges, and Josh Horn.

He is survived by his parents Kenneth and Vanessa Kleist, his brothers Corbin, Carsen, and Camden Kleist, his Grandparents Debbie and Rudy Salas, his great-grandmother Ethyl Horn, his uncle Michael Salas and his wife Tasha, as well as his great uncle Robert Horn and his wife Teresa.
