Carolyn (Jones) Smith, age 55 of Leonard, Texas was born November 3, 1964 in Brownwood, Texas to Floyd and Maerean (McPeak) Jones, Sr. She was Baptized as a child and reaffirmed her faith in adulthood. Carolyn was a free spirit who marched to the beat of her own drum and was known for her love of living life adventurously. As a young woman, she was often seen on a motorcycle, either cruising or racing. She was a pistol indeed. She was fearless and brazen -a trait represented in her three devoted children. Carolyn married and moved to Centerville, Texas, a small town, where she was quickly one of it's more renown and respected residents. She was just as giving to all in need as she was outgoing. She could be the warmest and most loving person that you've ever met, but if you wronged her or her family, your next thought would be, "where did that angel go?" Over the years she adopted several dogs that she saw being misused or abused. They went everywhere with her. Carolyn was a home health professional for over 30 years, loving and caring for countless patients. She will be missed and her memory treasured by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her father Floyd Jones, Sr. in 2006.
She is survived by her loving children: Karhonda Jones of Madisonville, Kerrie Jones of Dallas and Dwight Scott of Las Angeles, California; adored grandchildren: Caleb and Ivan Barrett of Madisonville; mother Maerean Jones of Leonard; siblings: Clifford Carter of Kansas City, Missouri, Floyd and wife Nanette Jones, Jr. and Richard and wife Tracy Jones of Leonard; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family friends.
