Carolyn P Renfro

Sunrise: June 25, 1952 - Sunset: July 11, 2022

On July 11, 2022, the trumpets blew from the Heavens as the angels mounted her wings and ushered her through the Pearly Gates of Heaven.  Though this day saddened the hearts, she is in a better place wearing her crown of Glory, and we are forever grateful for the time she spent with us. 

Carolyn Patrice Renfro-Allen, “Pat” to those who knew and loved her.  Carolyn Patrice Renfro was the youngest of six children, born to the late Porter Renfro, Jr. and Verma Elizabeth Craig-Renfro in Corsicana, Texas (Navarro County) on June 25, 1952.  She was preceded in death by her father, Porter Renfro Jr., mother, Verma Elizabeth Craig-Renfro,  son, Joshua Rafus Allen, and her lovely sister Francine Renfro-Mack. 

Carolyn Renfro was a woman of faith, baptized at an early age and attended St. John Primitive Baptist Church in Dallas, Tx.  She had a long career at Frito-Lay, then made a career change to work in the medical industry for several years at UT Southwestern where she retired.  She leaves to cherish her loving daughter, Greta Renfro, and her life partner Leonard Scott, and four brothers, David Earl Renfro, Porter Renfro III, Porter Renfro IV, and Carlton Brantley. She also extended that love to her descendants, including six grandchildren, Brittni, Joshua, Imari, Mazda, Asjhai, Destiny, and two great-grandchildren Zachary, Greenleigh and a host of family and friends who she loved dearly. 

We will forever hold in our hearts the wonderful memories shared with our beloved Pat! Her contagious beautiful smile, traveling, gathering with family, and her famous 7-UP and Sock-It-To-Me cakes. 

By the Lord’s grace, Pat and the family were able to gather and celebrate her 70th year of life one last time. One last celebratory moment of laughing, praying, singing, dancing, and feasting together was their day of honor for Queen Carolyn Patrice Renfro.
