Carey Lee Thrap

Carey Lee Thrap age 49 of Red Oak, Texas passed away August 4, 2023. She was born April 12, 1974 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Terri Lee Markham and John Lee Thrap. Her father’s job moved the family around often and at the age of 11, the family moved to the Dallas, Texas area; later she graduated from the Duncanville High School. Her family remembers a special trip to South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills, she also lived in several other states including: Nebraska, Texas, South Dakota, Washington and Colorado. She loved listening to all kinds of music; especially Whitney Houston‘s version of I Will Always Love You. She enjoyed being at home with her mother and sister or playing with her beloved cat Simon. She was a regular chatterbox, but also an outgoing and very giving person with a heart of pure gold. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her father John Lee Thrap; grandparents Ken and Jeanette Junker; uncle Roger Markham; aunt Sherri Williams and aunt Jody Siegel.

She is survived by her mother Terri Lee Markham of Bedford, Texas and sister Ginny Thrap of Red Oak, Texas and adoring pet cat Simon.
