Bryan Lunday Obituary

Bryan Neil Lunday, age 69 of Midlothian, Texas passed away on November 15, 2025. He was born on May 31, 1956 in Dallas, Texas to Laurie Dalton “Don” and Leda Frances (Stewart) Lunday. Bryan spent his entire life in North Texas, proudly rooted in the community he loved. He attended Kimball High School, graduating with the Class of 1974. At the age of 19, he began a long and dedicated career as a truck driver, working for various companies over the years and serving as a member of the truckers union. While working for Brown Express, fate introduced him to a young woman who would become the love of his life. After crossing paths again at Belle Starr, the two began seeing each other quietly while still working together. When the company suddenly closed on a Wednesday, Bryan didn’t waste any time, he married his sweetheart Jenny Gordon the very next Saturday, October 8, 1988. Together they built a beautiful life and welcomed two sons who were his pride and joy. Bryan was known for his quick wit and funny dad jokes, which he seemed to have ready for any moment. He was deeply kind, gentle in spirit, and endlessly devoted to his family. Becoming a grandfather brought him a whole new kind of happiness, his grandchildren were truly the brightest part of his life. He cherished every moment with them. He loved to golf, hunt, and watch baseball. He never missed his sons’ games as they grew up, always cheering them on and supporting their athletic endeavors. Bryan was particular about his truck, always keeping it spotless, and he was well known among family and friends for sending humorous video clips and memes on Instagram. And one thing everyone knew, Bryan never turned down a good brownie. Bryan leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to the people who meant the most to him. He will be remembered for his humor, his kindness, and his unwavering love for his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents Laurie “Don” and Leda Lunday; infant twin brother Bruce Lunday; brother Ray Lunday; sister Dannie Smith.

He is survived by his wife Jenny Lunday; son Blake and wife Mackenzie Lunday; son Shane and wife Alexis Lunday; five grandchildren: Asher Beckett, Austyn Blakley, Easton Stone, Navy Mae and Joel William; sister Laurie and husband Bob Baker; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and dear friends.
