Brigida Florene (Mathers) Baird

Brigida Florene (Mathers) Baird, age 71 of Pecan Hill, Texas passed away August 7, 2022. She was born December 31, 1950 in San Diego, California to Russell Thomas and Eula Estelle (Dodson) Mathers. She attended and graduated from San Diego high school. Her life took her coast to coast truck driving, and later she begin her family. They moved to Louisiana and later back to California and begin her 20+ year career with NASA. After her retirement she moved to Red Oak, Texas working at Home Depot in Duncanville and the Walgreens distribution center until her final retirement. She always loved anything outdoors or sports related and enjoyed horseback riding with her favorite horse “Kit” and was quite the sports fanatic and could always be found cheering for her Dallas Cowboys! She loved Elvis and cherished the memory of seeing him in concert and her beloved Yorkie “BB” she even had him tattooed onto her arm. She was outgoing and caring and had her own sense of humor. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Russell and Eula; granddaughter Whitney Sky Bombardier; brother Jimmy Lee Mathers, sister Dana Ranee Nott and sister Shirley Jean Newman.

She is survived by her children: Misty Marie Bombardier and Russell Thomas Baird; grandchildren: Joseph Daniel Bombardier, William Mac Bombardier, Nicholas Joshua Bombardier, Marc-Henry Micky Bombardier, Serenity Taylor McDonald; sister Barbara Tingle, sister Margaret Theresa Minjares, sister Anita Lynn Lundie, brother Johnny Dale Nott, sister Madlen Carol Sanford, sister Ronnie Collene and brother Shaun Michael Newman; as well as numerous nieces, nephews another extended family members.
