Brian Patterson Obituary

Brian Keith Patterson, 53, of Red Oak, Texas, passed away on March 11, 2025. Born on September 9, 1971, in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Keith Patterson and Marsha Fessenden, Brian was a man of deep faith, kindness, and unwavering love for his family.

A devoted Christian, Brian was an active member of Cross Point Church in Tyler, Texas, where he served as the Director of the Church Parking Lot, always ready to lend a helping hand with a smile. His faith was at the core of who he was, and his servant's heart and leadership touched countless lives.

Professionally, Brian had a distinguished career spanning over 20 years as the Director of Pharmacy and Retail Operations at Walgreens. His leadership in the pharmacy field was marked by a rare blend of skill and compassion, always striving to make a positive impact on those around him.

Brian had a genuine love for animals, particularly for rescuing pets, and his home was always filled with furry friends in need of a caring soul. His selfless nature extended beyond his love for family and pets—he was a man with a kind heart, great sense of humor, and a natural ability to lift others up, even in their darkest moments. Known for his infectious laughter, Brian’s great smile was a source of joy to all who knew him.

A lover of life’s simple pleasures, Brian enjoyed worship music, 80’s rock, and was a dedicated fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Missouri football teams. He found immense joy in the moments spent with his family: his children, stepchildren, and beloved pets. Brian’s love for his family was boundless, and he treasured every moment spent with them.

Brian’s legacy will live on through the lasting impressions he left on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, sense of humor, and ability to lead with humility will forever be cherished. He was a man who never sought to be in charge but led by example, inspiring those around him to be better, kinder, and more generous.

Brian is preceded in death by his wife, Hollie Patterson; his father, Keith Patterson; and his grandparents: Milton and Virginia Fessenden, and Efton and Freda Patterson.

He is survived by his wife, Christy Patterson; his children: Faris, Cole, Brett, Sean, Makayla, Emily, and Trenton; his mother, Marsha Patterson; his sister, Heather Sargent and husband Jeff; his brother, John Patterson and wife Kristin; along with several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life is to be announced at a later date.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the paramedics and staff of Baylor Scott and White – Waxahachie for their service and dedication during their time of need.
