Brenda Joyce Dyer Bentley, 72, of Ovilla, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home on March 21, 2026. Born February 21, 1954, in Littlefield, Texas, and raised in Bovina, Brenda grew up riding horses and remained a devoted "daddy's girl."
She retired from the food service industry and spent her spare time crafting, with a special love for crocheting baby blankets. Known for her joyful laughter, contagious energy, and a willingness to don a costume at a moment's notice, Brenda brought fun to every gathering.
Those who knew her well called her Granny.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Bentley; daughters Lisa Tibbs and Julie Skroh; grandchildren Lindsay Tibbs Stacks (Marty), Christopher L. Tibbs (Trista), Katelyn Skroh, Kinsey Skroh, Mary Burns (Mason), and Kaydan Skrah Santos (Dyllan); eight great-grandchildren; brother Ronny Dyer (Candy); sister Linda Dyer Rose (John); father-in-law Albert "Buck" Bentley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Travis Dyer and Joyce Vick Dyer; mother-in-law Jean Bentley; grandson Kamdan Skroh; son-in-law Christopher J. Tibbs; and brother Don Dyer.
Per her wishes, an informal celebration of life will be held with close family and friends at her home in Ovilla, Texas.
