Bernard Kellison Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernard “Bernie” Francis Kellison, who departed this life peacefully on March 22, 2025, at the age of 78. Bernie was born on March 8, 1947, in Massena, New York, to James and Lillian Kellison.

Bernie devoted his life to service and community. He was a proud Master Sergeant in the United States Army, where his commitment to duty and honor earned him the respect of his peers. After his military service, he came home to start his family while he continued his legacy of service as a Deputy Sheriff with the Massena Sheriff’s Department.

In the spring of 1975 Bernie moved the family to Arlington, TX where he became a licensed Master Electrician. As a licensed Master Electrician, he applied his skills to many projects over the years, and his expertise was greatly valued.

He was also the proud owner of A-1 Landscaping, where his hard work and entrepreneurial spirit shone through, contributing to the beautification of many properties.

Bernie leaves behind his sons and their wives, James and Brandi Kellison of Kennedale, Christopher “Chris” and Echo Kellison of Arlington, and Edward “Ted” and Abi Kellison of Arlington. His beloved grandchildren, Manning, Adam, Brianna, Aidyn, Elizabeth “Libby”, and Liam, who were the light of his life. His longtime partner, Anita Marchant. His memory will live on through all that loved him, he will be missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Bernie’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends will never be forgotten.
