Beatriz Ibarra, age 66 of Ferris, Texas passed away on April 3, 2026. She was born on October 17, 1959 to Jose Cruz Gutierrez, Sr. and Micaela Martel. Beatriz was born and raised in Mexico before coming to the United States at the age of 11. As the second oldest of seven children, she naturally became a steady presence in her family, often described as the glue that held everyone together. She carried that same love and devotion into every part of her life. She was known for her punctuality, always on time, and always dependable. Beatriz found happiness in life’s simple pleasures: listening to music, dancing, playing loteria and visiting the casino. She had a special gift in the kitchen, and her beans and tamales will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of sharing a meal with her. Beatriz treasured her family above all else. She loved large family gatherings, where laughter and many memories were made. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she adored every moment spent with them. A woman of deep and abiding faith, Beatriz loved the Lord and lived her life rooted in that faith. She found comfort in the promises of scripture, especially in Psalm 23, trusting that the Lord was her shepherd, guiding her and giving her peace. She also held close the assurance of Psalm 91, resting in the protection and refuge of God’s presence. She will be remembered as a woman who was funny, selfless, and giving, someone who never showed anger and instead led with kindness and love. Beatriz will be deeply missed, but her love will live on in all who knew her.
