Annie Mae (Junek) Jistel

Annie Mae Jistel, age 89 of Red Oak, Texas passed away July 11, 2023. She was born August 20, 1933 in Cameron, Milam County, Texas to the late Edward and Ida (Koeing) Junek. She met the love of her life Eugene James Jistel and they were married January 1, 1957, they shared 43 beautiful years. This union was blessed with seven children. As a homemaker she was a loving and caring mother to their children. She is loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Ida Junek; husband Eugene Jistel, sons: James Jistel and Eugene Jistel, Jr.; as well as 14 brothers and sisters. 

She is survived by her children: Patricia Jistel Meister and husband Butch of Red Oak, Texas, Connie Jistel Barnes and husband Melvin of Houston, Texas, Norma Jistel Lauer of Red Oak, Texas, Arnold Jistel of Red Oak, Texas, and Douglas Jistel of Lancaster, Texas; grandchildren: Aaron Rogers, Randall Rogers, and wife Tiffany, Christopher Barnes, Ashley Lauer, Adam Jistel, Lynsee Jistel, Trent Jistel; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; as well as other extended family members and dear friends.

Service of Liturgy of the Word will be 9:00 AM Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Green Funeral Home Red Oak, Texas. 

Interment will be 12:00 PM Saturday, July 15, 2023 at the St. Monica Cemetery in Cameron, Texas.
