Amber Kay Leslie, age 38 of Ferris, Texas passed away January 23, 2022. She was born July 14, 1983 to James Allen and Shelly Vanessa (James) Leslie. She grew up in Ferris, Texas. As a young person, she participated in many activities such as tumbling and dance, winning numerous dance awards. She graduated Ferris high school in the class of 2001, later moving to Houston Texas where she welcomed her daughter Hailey May Wilder. She loved Hailey so much and always said she was the best thing that ever happened to her. In 2015 she made her way back to Ferris, Texas. Her last working family was with Lovan Industries in accounts receivables. She was a very happy individual who loved her family as well as her very smart, loving and dedicated canine companion Roxie. Amber was funny and could be mischievous at times; she was also very booksmart and computer savvy. In her younger years she enjoyed going camping and as an adult loved the outdoors, especially watching butterflies. She loved fishing at Lake Waxahachie with her dad and also being with her cousins Tracy, Erin and Kristi. They traveled together many times on trips to Galveston, Disney and other destinations. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded by her grandparents Ollie and Allene James and her grandfather Les Leslie.
She is survived by her daughter Hailey May Wilder of Hardin; parents James and Shelly Leslie of Ferris; grandmother Betty Leslie of Indiana and her ride-or-die Tracy Lee Griffeth; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family members and dear friends.
Memorial Service will be 1 :00 PM Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Patrick Baptist Church. Pastor Steve Hamm officiating.
