Alex J. Stephenson, Jr.

Alex J. Stephenson Jr. “Bunny” was born on May 13, 1955 to Ellen Jackson and Alex Stephenson Sr. in Dallas, TX. In his youth, Alex attended N. W. Harllee Elementary School and later graduated from L. G. Pinkston High School.

Alex was preceded in death by his grandparents Lucy Berry-Jackson and Tom Jackson; parents Ellen Jackson and Alex Stephenson Sr.; sister Dora L. Hal; uncle Arthur Jackson; aunt Thelma Jackson; niece Shelby Jackson; nephew Willie Thomas Jr; niece Neveah Thomas; and Aaliyah Thomas.

Alex leaves to cherish his memory his sister/niece caretakers Patryce White and her husband Roderick White; other nieces include: Melody Carter and Lesley Hal; nephews: Broderick Jackson, Eric Jackson, Michael Hal, Cedric Hal and a host of other great-nieces and nephews.

Uncle Bunny lived life on his terms in his own special way. He didn’t allow limitations to stop him from doing what he wanted to do. He was determined, kind, adventurous, had the spirit of an eagle and never met a stranger. Uncle Bunny, you will be missed tremendously. Your amusing sense of humor, jokes and infectious smile will always be at the forefront of anyone’s memory whenever they think of you which will be often. You left a hole in our hearts that can never be filled.

REVELATION 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.

Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Green Funeral Home -Red Oak, Texas. Pastor Melody Carter officiating.
