Adam Arevalo Obituary

Adam Moya Arevalo, age 82 of Ferris, Texas passed away November 6, 2023. He was born January 24, 1941 to José Luis Arevalo and Julia Moya in Edinburg, Texas. Adam was a man of strong faith he and his wife taught their children and grandchildren the righteous path. He also wrote songs and sang for the Lord. He began work at an early age, working in the fields. He was a dedicated and hard worker, later working as a heavy machine operator for the City of Ferris, Texas until his retirement. He loved being busy, tinkering with engines or fixing transmissions. He also drove an 18 wheeler for a time, visiting most of the United States. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing were his passion. After his hunting trips, he always meticulously cleaned his guns and sharpened his knives, never letting anyone touch them because of fingerprints. Adam was a strong, yet stubborn man; strict, but had a big heart and was always willing to help others. He loved being a father and most of all a grandfather. His children and grandchildren affectionally called him Dad. He would give the shirt off of his back to someone else in need. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents José Luis Arevalo and Julia Moya; wife Leopolda Espino Arevalo.

He is survived by his children: Adam A. Arevalo of Kansas, Mariselda Arevalo, of Dallas, Texas, Abby Gail Infante of Red Oak, Texas, Norma Arevalo of Fort Worth, Texas, Adam Alex Arevalo of Red Oak, Texas, Jose Luis Arevalo of Fort Worth, Texas, Sonia Lorena Arevalo of Ferris, Texas, Gerardo Nava, Jr., Stephanie Irene Olivares and Britney Marie Arevalo; 28+ grandchildren; 27+ great-grandchildren; three sisters and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and dear friends.
